1. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Rajas Technologies ("Rajas Technologies", "we", "us"), the owner and operator of tarkaX (the "Service"). By registering for, or using, tarkaX you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not register or use the Service.

2. Who can use tarkaX

tarkaX is intended for students in India preparing for MSBTE diploma examinations.
If you are under 18 years of age, you may register only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the Service.
You must provide accurate details when you register and keep them up to date.

3. What tarkaX is — and is not

tarkaX is a self-assessment and practice platform offering chapter-wise tests, full-length mock tests and chapter overviews. It is an independent product of Rajas Technologies. tarkaX is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) or any government body. "MSBTE" and other names or marks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the syllabus the content is based on.

The questions in tarkaX are practice questions. They will not be the same as the questions in your actual examination, and nothing in the Service predicts or reproduces any real question paper.

4. Content, syllabus and use of AI

The subjects, units and chapters in tarkaX follow the syllabus and learning material published by MSBTE on its official website, which we use as a reference.
The questions, answer options, explanations and chapter overviews are generated with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) from that syllabus and learning material. They are original practice content prepared by us; they are not copied from MSBTE question papers or from any textbook.
AI-generated content can contain mistakes, omissions or outdated information. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate, but we do not guarantee that it is complete or error-free. Always check important facts against the official MSBTE syllabus, your prescribed textbooks and your teachers.
If you find a wrong question, answer or explanation, please tell us at the contact details below. We may correct, change or remove content at any time.

5. How tests and scoring work

Questions for each chapter test and full test are selected and shuffled automatically from our question bank, so different students — and different attempts by the same student — will get different questions. The free trial test (described below) is the exception.
Tests are timed and assessed automatically. Scores, pass/fail results and readiness indicators are produced by software; they are for practice only and are not an official result, grade or certification.
A test is submitted automatically when time runs out. Each subject has a limit on the number of attempts, shown on the test page.
We do not guarantee any particular score, pass result or improvement in your exam performance. Your results depend on your own effort.
After a test, the review shows the correct answer and explanation only for the questions you attempted and got wrong. The answer to a question you skipped is not shown.
Free trial test. For a subject you have not subscribed to, we may offer a free trial: a short sample taken from across the subject's chapters (currently 15 questions, 15 minutes, 1 mark each, with a pass mark of 40%). Unlike other tests, the trial uses the same fixed set of questions, in the same order, for every student.
You may take the trial a limited number of times for each subject (currently twice). The allowance applies until you subscribe to that subject; if a subscription for it later ends, a new allowance begins. The trial is not offered while you have an active subscription to that subject.
Trial results are for practice only. They are not counted in your progress or readiness scores, and trial questions are protected by the same rules on copying and sharing as all other content (see Section 8). We may change, replace or withdraw the free trial, or its limits, at any time.

6. Your account and mobile verification

We verify your mobile number with a one-time code sent on WhatsApp, delivered through the WhatsApp Business Platform of Meta. By registering you agree to receive these verification messages from us.
Your account is personal. Do not share your password or let anyone else use your account.
You are responsible for all activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect misuse.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Access to tests and chapter overviews is unlocked per subject through a paid subscription. The price and validity period are shown before you pay. Prices are in Indian Rupees (₹).
A platform fee (currently 2% of the amount you pay after any promo code) is added at checkout to cover payment processing. It is shown as a separate line before you pay and is part of the total charged.
Payments are processed securely by our payment partner, Razorpay. tarkaX never sees or stores your card, UPI or bank details. Access starts only after your payment is confirmed.
A subscription does not renew automatically; it ends when its validity period ends.
Promo or coupon codes, where offered, can be applied at checkout. Each code has its own conditions (such as validity dates, usage limits and the subjects it applies to), may be withdrawn at any time, and has no cash value.
Your history is cleared when your enrolment ends. Once the semester or the enrolment period of a subject is over, your test history for that subject, including your results and the attempts you made, is cleared automatically after a short grace period (currently 7 days). Renewing within that period keeps your history. After it is cleared you cannot go back to view your earlier results or attempts. Download or note down anything you need before your enrolment period ends. Your account and payment records are not affected.
Because the Service is digital content that becomes available immediately, fees are non-refundable, except where a payment is charged twice or charged without access being granted, or where the law requires a refund. For such cases write to us at the contact details below with your payment details.

8. Acceptable use and protection of content

You agree that you will not:

copy, record, screenshot, photograph, print, scrape, share, sell or otherwise distribute any questions, answers, explanations or overviews, in whole or in part;
share your login, or sell or give access to anyone else;
use bots, scripts or other automated means to access the Service, or try to bypass its protections;
reverse-engineer, interfere with, or attempt to break the security of the Service; or
use the Service for anything unlawful or to harm others.

To discourage copying, pages with test and study content show a watermark with your name and mobile number, and may hide their content when the window is not active. We may suspend or end the account of anyone who breaks these rules, without refund.

9. Ownership

The Service, its software, design, logo, question bank and content belong to Rajas Technologies or its licensors and are protected by Indian copyright and other laws. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own exam preparation while your account and subscription are active. No other rights are given.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep tarkaX available but do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, add or remove features, subjects and content, and may carry out maintenance, at any time.

11. Disclaimer and limit of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, Rajas Technologies is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on AI-generated content, from your exam results, or from interruptions to the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the subscription concerned in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using tarkaX at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms or misuse the Service. On termination your right to use the Service ends, but sections that by their nature should continue (such as ownership, disclaimers and liability) will continue to apply.

13. Privacy

How we collect and use your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy. When you register we also record the time and the version of these Terms that you accepted.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. If we make a material change we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use tarkaX after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Jaysingpur, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India.
