1. Who we are

tarkaX is an exam-preparation platform owned and operated by Rajas Technologies ("Rajas Technologies", "tarkaX", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains what information we collect from you, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. What tarkaX is — and isn't

tarkaX provides self-assessment practice questions and mock tests to help you prepare for your examination. It is a practice tool only. The questions in tarkaX will not be the same as the questions in your actual exam. Nothing in the app is drawn from, or guaranteed to match, any real question paper. Its purpose is to help you practice, identify weak areas, and build exam-taking speed and confidence — not to predict or reproduce your actual exam questions.

3. Information we collect

When you register and use tarkaX, we collect:

• Account details: full name, mobile number, email address, city, district, and state.
• Authentication data: your password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text) and login session tokens.
• Usage data: the chapters and tests you attempt, your answers, scores, and attempt history, so we can show you your progress.
• Subscription and payment records: which subjects you've subscribed to, the plan, and payment status. Card, UPI, and other payment instrument details are handled entirely by our payment processor (see Section 5) — tarkaX never sees or stores your card number or bank credentials.

4. How we use your information

• To create and secure your account, and verify your mobile number.
• To operate the practice tests: show you questions, score your attempts, and track your progress across chapters and subjects.
• To unlock subject access once a subscription payment is completed.
• To send you your one-time verification code (OTP) during registration.
• To respond to support requests you send us.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not use your data for advertising.

5. Third-party services we use

To operate tarkaX, we share the minimum necessary information with these providers, solely to provide the service described:

• Meta / WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API): we send your mobile number and a one-time verification code to Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform so it can deliver your registration OTP to you over WhatsApp. Meta processes this message according to its own WhatsApp Privacy Policy.
• Razorpay: when you subscribe to a subject, your payment is processed by Razorpay. Razorpay collects and handles your payment instrument details (card, UPI, netbanking, etc.) directly — tarkaX only receives confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed. See Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
• Cloud hosting: your account and test data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure used to run tarkaX.

6. Cookies and session data

tarkaX uses a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in (access and refresh session tokens). These are strictly necessary for the app to function and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (for example which pages are visited and on what kind of device). Google Analytics sets its own cookies and receives your approximate location and device details, but we do not send it your name, mobile number or test answers. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or use Google's opt-out add-on.

7. Data retention

We retain your account and test-attempt data for as long as your account is active, so you can review your history and progress. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep limited records (e.g. payment records) for legal or accounting purposes.

8. Your rights and choices

You can update your profile details at any time from your account settings. To request a copy of your data, ask a correction, or request deletion of your account, contact us using the details in Section 10.

9. Children's privacy

tarkaX is intended for students preparing for diploma, engineering, and school-board examinations. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, please use tarkaX with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
